The future of Tri-State travel baseball could be directly here in Quincy, as Moorman-Wavering Park is set to be the scene for 22 travel ball competitions beginning this spring. Coordinators of the first Q-Town competition said they plan to have more than 100 groups signed up by the time of the first pitch on April 10. Coordinators said it makes it so local families don't always need to travel to competitions outside the territory. They said there's a ton Quincy has to offer. "There is a lot to do at the Quincy parks with the put golf, batting cages, kayaks, paddleboats and fishing," organizer Darin Dodd said.
