As distance learning is becoming the big new thing TDRA have launched their first Virtual summer Camp where students will learn to build their first robotic project and program it from their home environment. Projects have been able to come live by the support of established local players such as Besomi Electronics.
Experts agree that exposing children to robotics and electronics can improve their problem-solving skills, perseverance, and entrepreneurial spirit. The event was run by the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority, which focuses on information and communication technology within the United Arab Emirates.
Students taking part in the event had the chance to build a varied range of robotics projects such as line following with obstacle avoidance car, home security and smart Gas detector alarm. These had to be submitted by the end of the second week, with valuable prizes for the winners.
The Advance Starter Kit provided by Besomi Electronics includes an UNO R3 Board with a USB cable, a screwdriver, micro switch buttons, buzzers, LED lights, and more component that can be used creating different projects. The 2021 pack expands on this with temperature and humidity sensors, a key module, and a matrix keyboard, among other accessories.
