Breast cancer: An innovative blood test could help early discovery

In this way, the group began building up a blood test that would have the option to identify those autoantibodies in the blood and demonstrate whether breast cancer is available.

They first created panels of tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) explicit to breast cancer. This enabled them to screen for the presence of autoantigens in the blood that are related to a reaction to breast cancer-specific TAAs.
